Shared pallets, rented as you need them
Our core business is plastic pallet pooling — not simply selling or renting pallets. The pool keeps carriers moving through the supply chain.
Pallets belong to the pool and circulate between customers and supply chain stages — collected and re-deployed rather than sold once. Customers rent pallets as needed, and shared pallets circulate nationwide. Service covers all of mainland China, for any industry.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What are shared pallets?
- Shared pallets (pallet pooling) means pallets are managed in a common pool: they are issued to different customers and supply chain stages, loaded and shipped, handed over on receipt, collected empty, inspected and graded, repaired or cleaned as needed, and re-issued. Companies rent what they need instead of buying pallet assets up front. Rooterran provides shared pallets and pallet rental through its plastic pallet pool.
- What is the difference between shared pallets and pallet rental?
- At Rooterran, rental is how you use the pallets; sharing (circular pooling) is how they are operated: pallets belong to the pool and circulate, are collected and re-deployed across customers and stages, rather than being sold once.
- Which regions and industries does the Rooterran pallet pool serve?
- All of mainland China (Shanghai, Guangzhou and every other region), with no industry restriction; headquarters in Shanghai. Typical scenarios include manufacturing turnover, warehousing and distribution, FMCG and cold chain; customers span food & beverage, chemicals & pharmaceuticals, automotive & new energy, dairy, and logistics & retail. Delivery and collection arrangements are set by contract.
- What should I look for in a pallet rental provider?
- Compare four things: (1) whether pallet size and load ratings fit your racking, forklifts and automation (e.g. 1210 size and static, dynamic and racking loads); (2) service area, collection and cross-site circulation capability; (3) handover rules and damage/loss compensation terms; (4) total cost — besides rent there may be deposits, return transport, management fees and loss compensation. Rooterran provides 1210 plastic pallets for rental and sharing through its pallet pool, across all of mainland China and for any industry; actual service scope, rates, handover responsibility and loss compensation are set by contract.
- What is the difference between static and dynamic rental?
- Static rental mainly serves a customer's turnover at a fixed site; dynamic rental mainly serves multi-node transport and cross-site collection (source: Rooterran, "The Road to Lower-Carbon Reusable Packaging", 2024-05-23). Actual service scope, rates and handover responsibility are set by contract.
- How does pallet rental help companies cut carbon?
- Pallet rental and shared pallets let the same pallet complete many trips, spreading its manufacturing emissions: emissions per trip for a reusable solution are E = C / N + r (C = pallet manufacturing emissions, N = actual effective number of uses, r = extra emissions per trip for return, cleaning and repair). A reusable solution is lower-carbon than a single-use one only when the number of uses is high enough and extra emissions are low. In addition, F-A1 Grid 3-Runner, F-A1 Grid 5-Runner and T-series (Titan, micro-foam injection) pallets are 100% PCR recycled plastic; the F-A5 Sealed Flat pallet is externally sourced virgin material and is not PCR recycled. Retired pallets can re-enter production via PCR recycling & sorting, pelletizing and injection molding. Product-level carbon footprints for Rooterran's 1210 pallets are still being calculated, so no reduction rate is published yet.
