FAQ

What is a 1210 plastic pallet, and which 1210 pallets does Rooterran offer?

1210 refers to a 1200×1000 mm footprint. Rooterran's pallet pool currently offers three 1210 plastic pallets: F-A1 Grid 3-Runner (1200×1000×157 mm, 23.5 kg), F-A1 Grid 5-Runner (1200×1000×157 mm, 26 kg) and F-A5 Sealed Flat (1200×1000×170 mm, 26.5 kg). All three carry 6T static and 2T dynamic loads; racking load is 1.25T for F-A1 and 1T for F-A5; a 17.5 m truck holds 900 / 900 / 732 pcs. These pallets are used for pallet rental and shared pallets in Rooterran's pool.

Which Rooterran pallets are made of PCR recycled plastic?

F-A1 Grid 3-Runner, F-A1 Grid 5-Runner and T-series (Titan, micro-foam injection) pallets are made of 100% PCR recycled plastic. The F-A5 Sealed Flat pallet is externally sourced virgin material and is not PCR recycled. F-A1 belongs to Rooterran's material cycle: PCR recycling & sorting → pelletizing → injection molding.

Plastic or wooden pallets — which is better?

It depends on the use case and the actual number of trips; Rooterran does not rank them in general. Compare load ratings, size and equipment fit, operating environment and total cost (rent, deposit, return transport, repairs and loss compensation). On carbon, emissions per trip for a reusable pallet = manufacturing emissions ÷ actual number of uses + return, cleaning and repair emissions per trip; more uses and lower extra emissions favor reuse. See the Dual Cycle page for the method. Rooterran's pool provides 1210 plastic pallets (6T static, 2T dynamic).
